A personal project using historical fiction:
Nanyang Animation is a little-known studio founded in Singapore during the late 40s, a vibrant era in Singapore cinema. A group of youthful artists had seen Snow White (1937) in the old Cathay Cinema, and were inspired to start a studio of their own. Through the years it has produced films in various forms that spoke to audiences in the Nanyang region, but just like Georges Méliès, began to decline and fell into historical obscurity.
